Randy began his career in 1984 working as an Environmental Engineer for the State of Missouri in the Hazardous Waste, Water Pollution Control, and Public Drinking Water Programs. He spent over a decade learning and implementing all of the complex regulations and design standards required by EPA and the State of Missouri. As a Missouri Professional Engineer, Randy expanded his career by spending another decade working as a Civil Consulting Engineer. His focus on client needs and expectations led him to successfully design numerous projects throughout Southwest Missouri. Listening to his clients’ goals and exceptional communication were the unrelenting standards of practice that Randy expected of himself and the design teams he worked with. When Randy left the consulting engineering practice to pursue a real estate career, many clients were disappointed to learn of the departure, but knew the friendships would last a lifetime.
Having grown up in the home building and land development business, Randy’s personal, first-hand, knowledge has provided opportunities through the years to participate in the family owned business. This experience combined with an extensive engineering background opened the doors for Randy to join the Wal-Mart Real Estate team in 2005. The two-year experience in the Wal-Mart Real Estate Department exposed Randy to more commercial real estate transactions than many firms and corporations complete in the life of their business. Wal-Mart’s high level of performance as a corporation for real estate site selection and analysis allowed Randy the opportunity to gain an exceptional understanding about commercial real estate evaluation.
In 2007, Randy earned the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, issued by the CCIM Institute an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. A CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. The CCIM designation combined with the Professional Engineering designation demonstrate Randy’s level of skill and knowledge in the design, development, and analysis of real estate.
